Went out this morning and hooked this brown on bronze pop gear with a floating minnow plug behind it. Over by the slides on the north side again. Trolling real slow about 5 feet off the bottom. He was a good fighter, about 20" and a little over 4lbs. I'm going back out for more. Tight lines

I ended up going back out and caught two more holdovers. One was about 2 lbs and one was 1.5 lbs. Even fishing machine caught one !

Better than the rainbow surprisingly. Haven't had one yet that was soft or taste like mud. Maybe thats just the really big 8-10 lb ones

I've only eaten the trout out of Pine once, that last rainbow holdover reported...and I was surprised at how good it was. I thought there might be some mud/algae taste, but all three fish were surprisingly clean and mild tasting. I'd eat'em again. Sweet brown there BB. Nice job and thanks for sharing your setup. It's nice to know what works and what doesn't.
