Got to Tanwax around 230 pm. Slight breeze from the west, southwest at about 5-10 mph. Launched the pontoon from the west end and headed for the east end to meet the wife and kids. Trolled a brown woolly bugger while cruising to the other side. No takers. The lake was packed with people, boats, skiers, skidoos and whatever else floated and created racket.

After having lunch with the wifey and kids, made my way back out through the gauntlet of ski boats and kids splashing around in the water. Tried fishing a nymph under a strike indicator, but no luck. Tried for some panfish with a popper along the north side of the lake in the lily pads. Caught one log and two lily pads...no fish.

Hung around until the skiing died off around 630 or 700, started trolling the edges and weedlines with a nymph on full sinking line. Hooked one decent sized rainbow, around 15" but lost it at the boat. The only fish I managed to net for the afternoon was one perch. Decided to call it a day around 900 pm.

Have these fish gotten any smarter since the "Learning Curve" issue? haha

HAHA!! If I remember right, that was the fishing with a fly and bobber experiment. Since I have cut out the middle-man and have gone straight to using a fly rod altogether. The learning curve has shifted more towards me here lately... :-)
