I picked up my son from pre-school, took him to Salty Dogs in Deer Park for dinner, then we headed to Bear Lake after we stopped to get some worms. BTW I guess they are charging now....with the office boarded up you can hardly tell. I decided to try the other side of the lake. I found a path down to the shore and you can tell it gets attention as they have put a garbage can down there. We fished from about 6:30 to 8:30p. We caught a couple small perch and evidently injured them in the process of taking the hooks out as they soon became floaters. The last floater got gobbled up by what I can only assume was a bass. It was making a lot of splashes....probably a good sized bass cause the perch had to have been about 5-6" long. The last half hour I put on some spinners but didn't get any action from them.
