Got up early, loaded up the canoe and headed over the hill for the day. Got there about 10am & Trolled for most of the day. Tried flatfish, several different lures, and wedding rings, all with and without pop-gear. The wedding rings tipped with worm behind pop-gear worked better than anything else. The fish finder was showing tons of fish. Hooked probably 6 or 7 and only got 4 to the boat. Only kept one that was too injured to release. All small fish, I don't think I hooked any that was over 1 pound. Beached the canoe on the NE corner of the lake for lunch, watched the ospreys dive (it always amazes me how hard they hit that water) and a deer hanging out on the east end of the lake. Tried throwing a few different lures from the bank & caught a perch and another little trout while eating lunch. The air temp was right about 80 and the water temp was 65. The water was calm and there was just enough breeze to keep you cool. I pulled out about 6pm, just as a little kid on the dock caught a 5# trip. It was a nice, kicked back, relaxing day on the water. No pics of fish, but I took one of the view.
