Had a great day on Browns fishing with Lotech Joe, Dennis, Dave Hall and his friend Chris. The weather was very pleasant, 73 degrees with a light breeze and high overcast. The surface water temperature was 63 degrees and the water was very clear. The fish were working the surface all day long. I fished a Renegade the entire day and netted about 20 fish with the largest being 14", all cutthroats.
The water level of the lake was up from last year, but still below the high water mark. I expected it to be higher with the long winter. The insect activity consisted of flying ants, some mayflies and small midges.

I agree with Marc. What a beautiful lake. Yet another of Pend Oreille counties mountain gems. There are several camp sites convenient to the launch. It is a fee campground and the cost for day use is only $4. It seems that lots of folks have discovered this little jewel as there were campers and fishermen in many of the sites. Even if there are as many as 20-25 fishermen on the lake, there will still plenty of room to fish. If you get the opportunity to go to Brown's Lake, by all means take it. You will enjoy yourself.
