I've been wanting to give this little lake a try for a long time, so tonight I went out for about 2.5 hours in the float tube. I threw spinnerbaits and crankbaits along the structures, downed trees, 1 old dock that is on the water. Nothing happening. Then I did some casting around a worm under a bobber. At one point I threw it about three feet from shore in a brushy area, and the bobber did go down fast, but I missed the fish. Then I slow dragged a drop shot style worm along the bottom. No hits there either. Were there any other fisherman on the lake? Of course not (if you new the lake you'd understand) I did see one fish about 3-4' jump, and heard another that was def. bigger. and I did get yucked out again by some kind of water rat, I don't think it was a nutria though, more like a muskrat or something. Somebody else give this lake a try please.

about two years ago, I was sitting at the light on 175th and meridian looking over at the bog I swear I saw a large splash. I thought it had to be one of those diving ducks or water birds that dive to the bottom to eat the plants. but before the light changed it jumped again and was definitely a bass or I should say it was a fish of some type. I was so shocked to see it that I kept staring at the bog to see if it would jump again but someone honked at me (the light had turned green) so off I went. if you look up the bog in the lake index you may be surprised what you read....I was. also, are you familiar with the twin lakes park at approx. 155th and meridian? its the one with the soccer field. I walk my dog there and saw a small dead blue gill floating on the south lake last week and was shocked and amazed that there was anything in it . we have had a beaver slap it's tail at us as it swam across the lake one evening. I've been wanting to try a bobber and mini jig just to see if I could catch something out of these little lakes. post a report if you have any luck and so will I. Good Luck.

Man, old home week for me reading this report. I grew up 1/2 mile west of the bog at 175th and 11th Ave NE. I use to fish at the bog as a little boy. We would ride our bikes there and fish. I don't recall ever catching anything but they sure were good memories. I also use to fish Ballenger which I see you posted as well. Great memories as a kid growing up in Shoreline. I fished Lake Sixteen this set of days off. Not a bite. I think the water is too warm now for the trout. Thanks for the report Chris. At least you gave the bog a try.

Seeing that Ronald Bog Lake is conected to Thornton Creek which drains into Lake Washington--- I don't think it's a safe lake to be float tubing in ,this is what I found in the King County site on Bacteria levels in E-Coli and Fecal Coliform in that water system.
