Fished Pearrygin for the first time with my son and daughter. I was planning to head down the road to Alta but since we were staying in winthrop for the weekend we decided to save some time and gas. We put out at 6:00 pm ,which is when the waterskiers have to stop, and saw a lot of fish on the sonar about 20 feet down in about 35 feet of water. We had to keep adding weight to get down to the fish, but when we did, the fishing got pretty good. Each of us was able to land one trout apiece in about 1/2 hour and I am sure that we could have had more but we decided to quit around 7:30 to get back to the ranch. The fish were 12-13" and really struck hard when they decided to bite. This looks like a great place for camping with a public and a privately run campground.
