Just a quick trip today. Went out to Lake Stevens looking for a pair of keys that I lost the day before on the dock. Or maybe by the shallow rocks on the east side, either way I was searching for my keys. After searching the dock and the boat launch I decided to head to the shallows on the east side. After searching for about an hour decided to do some fishing since I was in the area. Seen some smallmouth in about 5 feet of water started flipping a jig and pig. Maybe 3 casts into it hooked into a nice one not sure on weight but posted pic. Really windy and the ski boat traffic was arriving. Decided to get out of there early. Still really PO about loosing my keys. Tight Lines!!!

P.S. Thanks RIPPER for the trip and the tips yesterday.
Expand pic to really see it.

Good job fish_slayer, that's a great smallie. You're a good student, One lesson and you catch a fish like that. Ican't wait to hit the water with you again.

Nice fish! Haven't fished Stevens since September 19, 1991 and then I only caught a couple largemouth up to 12 1/4 inches. At that time there was a one fish limit on bass and it had to be over 19 inches.
