This lake was amazing to us last year, but this year it hasn't been so kind. We fished Sunday from 7:30am-2:30pm, and only managed one decent fish - a 3lb largie on a white spinnerbait. The water temperature started at 69, and reached 75 by mid-day. We also got a baby bass, a perch, and a trout. YAY! We tried everything we had everywhere on the lake to no avail. Pretty frustrating day, but good times nonetheless. We spotted lots of cool wildlife with my new binoculars - a few bald eagles, and several cougars....they like this sunny weather ;)

Cougars!?? Cool.... what were they doing? Were they "Chillaxin'" like my daughter says. Sort of just chillin' and relaxing somewhere.
Nice bass btw.

Every lake I have fished the past two+ weeks, are swarming with fry hatches! I think the largemouth have plenty to eat right now?! Can't last forever though.....good job hanging in there! Looks like I need to go buy my cougar tag:)

I have a friend who has a summer place on the lake.two years ago my daughter went over to spend the night with his daughter. after dinner they went outside to play some basketball. they have a hoop in their driveway.after about 30 minutes my friend went to check on them. he told them to come toward the house very slowly. they complied and when they got to the front door he told them to look back at the hoop. about 25-30 feet away from where playing was a large cougar standing still and looking right at them. my friend clapped his hands together loudly a couple of times and it walked (not ran) off. he says he sees one or two every summer. anyway nice bass! p.s. his place is on the west side of the lake after you go through the bottle neck into the next part of the lake.tight lines.
