Fished from Nine Mile Resort and headed towards the dam. We had a very good day with 9 bass caught (all but one were Small Mouth). Early morning on spinners and crank baits (dark colors) right on the shore line, usually hooked up within a couple cranks of the reel. As you can see from the pics we got no dinks today, all fish were in the 1.5-2.4 lb range with our biggest 3 all the same weight (2.4lbs). Toward the middle of the day (11am-1pm) we tried to find cover and shade so the tree lined were the ticket. Picked up the one LMB and another SMB from under the same tree on a 1/4 oz jig with a watermelon grub.

Two ?'s if I can- where are the big bass? (see you guys pulling out 4-6lbers)
second-we saw tons of bass cruising in the shallows, in sandy and weedy areas, they were very spooked and could not get any lure close to them, the question is how to catch cruising bass?

Lipless Cranks And run them right in front of them over and over again until you get them all ticked. They will hit it eventually. Hope that helps.

yea Ratt-L-traps work great especially for the smallies. I use 1/4-1/2 oz. with success!!!!

We had no problems, both launches seemed to be open. We launched from the resort but fished up all the way to the one just past the Spokane House. There was a fire but I think everything is fine.
