This morning I headed over to Martha. I had read in F&H News about a month ago that it was a good lake for largemouth, so I decided to give it a try. Fished from 7am-noon. Cloudy & 57 when I got there. The wind was up& down all morning. Tossed a spinner bait from the boat launch down to the north end of the lake with only 2 strikes and no hookups, switched to weightless green senko for awhile, still nothing. Decided to try some a tube bait since I had bought them but never used. 2nd cast I was working it around some lily pads, wondering if I had it rigged right and hooked up another 3.5lbr - could have been the twin of the one I caught at Serene yesterday. I love the way these guys fight!! Only caught two more about 1.5lbs each before I had to go. 1 on the green senko and another on a crank bait.
