Trolled from about 8:30 am to 11:30 am, in a friend's new well-used boat. First time for both of us on Stevens, so did not expect much. We were mainly just checking out the boat for his first voyage in it. But we managed to catch 4 little 6-8" rainbows with wedding rings behind pop gear. Our gear was pretty shallow in 100' of water. We trolled at a little over 1 mph. Saw a few other anglers out with us working the middle of the lake with us. Checked out the cooler of an angler leaving the lake as we were putting in... he had some kokanee he caught trolling at 25' with wedding rings and corn. Nice bright looking little kokes. Great weather for fishing: overcast, not much wind, no rain. Then the sun came out, which brought the wake boarders, so we stopped fishing and ran the boat around to check how it ran at full throttle. It was a fine outing.
