Spent about 4 days over in Eastern Wa. I sent my wife up to Sun Mountain Lodge just up from Patterson lake for some lounging time, my son and I rented a simple row boat from the Patterson Lk. Cabins located on the lake. It's like $30.00 for the day. The lady renting the boats named off most every fish in the Wa. state regs. catalog, as far as being fish which she said were found in the lake..... she even said there were Dolly Varden in there. (I'm not so sure about that)
Anyway...we fought the dink perch off of my son's worm bobber combination all night long. I was throwing a rattle trap in which I hooked up with a bass of some sort prob. about 1-2 lbs. it came out of the water about 10' from the boat, and spit the hook. I had a few other strikes that I think were def. bass,, this I say because I also had a ton of action from what was certainly perch. It was a real nice time with my son on the water, one more nail sunk in the fishing coffin so to speak with keeping my son hooked on fishing.
