Read about this lake on here and decided I'd go and give it a try. Got to the lake around 6:45pm and got my trusty little raft in the water. Started off by trolling just a work on a 4' lead with a swivel, and an egg weight above that. Trolled around for about 30 minutes with no success and not even a bite, although you could see fish rising from time to time. Threw on a Mike's orange garlic marshmallow and threw it on the bottom in a couple of spots but still the same thing.

Saw three guys in a boat and one of them had a small fish on. I looked over and saw someone rocking the boat pretty good messing around. Looked back to my line and then heard a big splash. Turned back to see all 3 of them in the water and their tackle box, beer cans and other stuff floating. Another guy came along and towed them into shore. He told me later that they lost all 3 of their poles, the trolling motor and two batteries. Not that cool that now the batteries are on the bottom of the lake waiting to leak their contents into the water, and that they let all their empty beer cans and other trash just disperse out all over the water. I rowed around and tried to clean up what I could. The other guy that towed them told me he was using a spinner. I went with that as I had seen him fighting with a fish earlier.

Threw on a black and orange spinner and tipped it with bits of worm and kept on rowing. Got my first bite within a few minutes and landed a small 7" rainbow. Caught a tiny SB in another 10. About 20 later I caught an 11" rainbow that was a real pretty fish. Was gettin dark by this time and I was gettin chomped on by the mosquitoes so I called it a day. Once I got the right gear on the end of my line the hits were pretty constant. Lost a few hits because I have to row, so sometimes I can't grab the pole quick enough to set the hook. All in all a great little lake and I'll be back for sure.

I hope it was the same 3 idiots I saw the last time I was at Kapowsin. They were smoking weed in the boat, drinking beer, yelling at each other and carrying on. I called it in but no one ever came by to check on it.

I don't really care if people want to have a beer or whatever. But I can't stand people yelling on the lake, and ESPECIALLY people littering.

if you have a boat u should get a small gaff hook and drag it around and try and get that trolling motor. When i was at blue creek, i saw two guys in a sled recover new 8 0r 10 horse merc that fell off of some ones boat. Also, if u fish on rivers when the hole gets real snaggy u can throw that gaff in and pull those snags and get lots of gear and a clean drift.

Lake Margaret is deep. good luck. That is my home lake, and that pisses me off. The local community gets their drinking water from that lake using a super filtration system, but I don't know how good it is.
