Hit the lake about 6:00 am, no depth finder on the boat, so went to an area i thought was about 10-12 feet deep, and started casting a white fur jig tipped with worm 1/16 oz. 3rd cast hooked in a nice 9" crappie. Caught a bunch more and only 3 less than 9 inches. Largest of the day was 11" Also, caught 2 nice perch.

6 Crappie retained, 2 perch also retained. All other fish C&R

Also caught 2 LMB, a nice 17" and a small 11" - both on a spinnerbait, close to shore. Bass released, and forgot my camera, so no pics, except for some of those when I got home.

Had to battle the wind for periods of time, but worth it!

Paul & Sammi earlier reports were correct, I had tried the lake numerous times this year with no luck, but on Saturday, they were biting! Unfortunately, I went out Sunday morning will little success... another report for Sunday to follow!
