Hit the launch @ Rainier Beach with BF @ 9:30 AM,..decided 2 try a new area today before we hit our usual spots,..found some cover and some deep docks and started throwing our Swimmies,..cool out,..overcast and drizzling,..water 68 degrees,..started to slowly troll in search of the Bronzies,..threw Swims,..Cranks,..Chatters and Buzz Baits,..nothing for 1.5 hrs,..headed 2 our prime spots,..3rd cast and I have a SMB Dink,..last time we were out I missed 2 very nice SMB,..BF and I seen both Bass,..both threw the treble,..I decided 2 swap out my trebles on the Crank I missed them on before I headed out again,..they were pretty dull so it was good I did,..caught the SMB Dink on the Crank I swapped trebles on,..while casting towards a dock a little later I break the lip on my "go-2" Crank,..I was bummed but I had 1 more very similar 2 it left,..tied it on and back in the water,..stayed in the area for another 10 minutes then on 2 the next. We get there and the fish-finder was going crazy,..activity in all directions,..picked up my Shimano Curado and started 2 chuck the Swimmie,..BF was tossing his 2,..BF gets a nice hit,..seemed harder than a Perch hit but nothing followed,..did this for 15 minutes then went back 2 my "go-2",..tossed it near some cover,..BAM,..but it was a 10" Perch,..nice fish but we want Bronzebacks,..the next 3 consecutive casts I bring a 10" Perch 2 the boat,..BF was heated by now,..he got skunked 2 days prior so he was itching 2 boat a fish,..played with the Perch for a little longer then went 2 1 last spot before we called it a day,..we haven't hit this spot in 3 months,..so we rushed over there and started our search,..4 casts later I hook up with a huge Bronzie,..bring him about 4 feet from the boat and he goes left then right then throws my hook,..MAN WHAT THE HECK! BF and I couldn't believe it,..the only thing I can think of is that I didn't swap the trebles on this Crank,..I really didn't need 2,..so I thought,..but I never figured I'd break the other,..after this happened I looked at my hooks and sure enough the paint was worn and they were not very sharp at all,..sharp enough for the Perch but not for a good size SMB,.I wasn't nearly as bummed as BF,..although he's been in a slump as of late,..we'll go out again on Monday or Tuesday next week,..@ least we have another spot under our belts! Don't worry BF we ALL go through slumps,..just shake it off!

Didnt swap the hooks ooooooooooooooooooooooooo what never go with O.G gear,Sometimes we are like oh the heck with it just fish,But 2-3 min of tackle care is well worth the PB probability, cause every cast is a possibility.Fish on get'em next week

Good report bassin bomber! I feel for you man I have missed quite a few fish at the boat this year. At least two of them were from original trebles. Better luck next time!

Nice report BB. It was almost more like a fishing strory than just a report. You write well -- keep it up.
