A couple of buddies and myself decided to fish for some trout. We were on the water about 8a. Pretty chilly out, but not windy. Not sure about the water temperature, but felt cold. Me and John were using worms off the bobber and my buddy Ryan was using a slip bobber about 7-10 ft deep. The water was glass, hardly any wind, and I had 2 bites and 2 fish. Both pushed 15 inches and fat- very fat. My first fish, my line was all in a nest...my line was sitting in the water..and I said to myself, "I bet I am going to get a bite"..sure enough...FISH ON! I wasn't able to reel, so Ryan pulled my line in and I netted it..pretty cool I guess. MattyG ended up showing up later in the day and as soon as he pulled up he had a fish on..He ended up losing it at the boat..It looked like a bluegill, but he said it was a trout. We'll never know!! Not too many people fishing and only a couple were fishing off the dock..they said it has been pretty slow. Good times.
