My son and I cruised up to check the water level but I figured it would be foolish to drive up here
and not have a rod ready. The water level is down very low but may be possible to launch a small jon boat.
I tossed a pike swimbait a few times and after that decided it was more fun just to walk around and toss a few
rocks...Lifes simple pleasures. Arrived around 10AM and left around 11:30AM.
Took a few pics to show just how low the water is.
We did see a rock bass....and that's about it

Hey Kevin,

I was just down there a few days ago. I am actually considering throwing in my job boat and doing some musky fishing!

Meant to say thanks for taking such good, informative pics. Nice to hear you're out fishing here and there with your son.

Good to see you got out. Nice pictures...funny though some guy at the Sportsmans show selling fishing rods tells me the lake is only 3 ft down. Uhh..looks like a little farther down than that..Maybe I'll go up there and see if I can find my bucktail from a couple months back. Great report Kevin.

Just moved to the area, can anyone recommend a place to fish from the shore. I don't own a boat and would like to take my 6yrd old son out and catch a fish or two. We have no preferance on the fish type as we will release anyways.
