Hit the lake at 6:45 a.m. Not a sole on the water and no bank fishing either?? That should have been my first clue?? Trolled this small 50+ acre lake from all directions. Water temp at 70 degrees. Not a very deep lake either. Has great bass structure all around. If you want a very nice quiet place to fish this is it. Has great farm/country like setting. Very peaceful. Haven't been here for many years, but not much has changed. Have talked with folks who have caught big fish here for the first couple weeks after openers. Woe is me. The shame of it all. Got skunked, not even a bite. One other boat had arrived also and the lady fisher-woman didn't have anything either. At least that keep my ego intact. She sure looked serious about her sport and had a nice boat.
