Took my brother out to liberty to catch some Brown trout. We fished with no luck for the first 1/2 hour and then whammo. I hooked into about a 5 pound trout (the middle fish) that put up a rather good fight and pilled off some line so that was fun and a great way to start the year. Then missed a couple bites that felt like shakers. After that we picked one up here and there and they kept getting smaller as the front moved in. We did manage one brown but that was it. So it was a good day even though we had to put up with a little wind and rain. Some times thats what it takes to get it done. Was running low on gas and the wind was realy picking up so decide we would call it untill next time. The five on the stringer were kept for the smoker. All fish caught on artificials. Tight lines. >}}}>

I gave it a 3 because the wind and rain and also because we wanted to catch browns they put up a better fight. The rainbows were just an add bonus. Thanks

Ya wow, only a 3, i would give it a 5. You were using Rapallas huh>May i ask you how deep you were going>? I personaly think that Rainbows fight better then browns, browns just roll in toward the boat. Not a lot of fun for me. Anyhow, i am itchin for some fishin, i was fihsing rock for a while now i want to hit up liberty since i have never fished thier either. Ok just hoping for a few tips before i head out. k, stay sfe out there.

bazzdude, what do you have against Browns? LOL I pointed out to Aaron when we were out at Rock last Saturday that someone was saying that Browns don't fight as hard, and I don't think he buys into it either now. So, when we have Browns coming out of the water a foot, and Bows rolling in the line, how do you tell them apart? I can tell you how I tell them apart, I get them in the net!
;-) Great report Big Jerm.
