I'm starting to think I've got some sort of cloud hanging over my head. Got to the lake at 6am. One guy fishing from the launch. Looked like he'd been there all night. Said he hadn't had much luck. Started to rain just before I got there and rained off and on the whole time. We got out on the water by 6:15 and headed up the lake. Finder showed very few fish on the park end of the lake. Water temp was 49 degrees with a slight breeze. Started fishing for bass both along the docks and in up to 30' of water. Used a variety of grubs and plugs run very slowly along the bottom. Switched to trolling for trout after an hour of no luck and one lost rig. Trolled very slowly (.7-.9 mph via GPS) using blue and silver plugs, orange flatfish, and a deep diving crawfish colored crank back and forth on the upper 3/4ths of the lake. Finder showed most of the fish around 40+ feet in the middle of the lake with not much showing between there and the surface. Would see one jump now and then and watched an osprey successfully pick a trout off the surface. Had a few hits on the orange flatfish on one pass and nothing after that. Got off the water at 8:30 cold and wet. There were people fishing from the park when we left and the guy still fishing at the launch said that they'd been catching trout over there.
