My wife gave two of my trout to her grandma for her birthday and we ate two for dinner....awwww schucks, looks like I have to go replace them...;)

Well, went and paid another five bucks at the County park and tried again. It was much slower this time, and I could see that the majority of the triploids were venturing out just past casting range. Alot of small ones were rising within 30' of shore, but they absolutely would not touch a spinner! I even tried a bobber and fly rig, nothing. I could see that they were still catching one here and there from the dock, but with a couple dudes on there wanting to teach the world how to properly used the f-word, I decided against moving out there...

I finally hooked up with a small one but decided to release him. Next, I caught a 1/2 pounder, and he died for the cause:)

I caught another dink who lived to swim another day, and then a 2 pound beauty that will see the inside of a frying pan very very soon!

The fish were biting fairly soft, and you almost had to fish rod in hand. Green seemed to be the color of choice for the trout today, and the guys in the boats seemed to be having faster action than the dock/shore fishermen. I left satisfied, and the air quality improved once the f-bombers left, so it actually became an enjoyable early afternoon.

Oh and just one side note..... If you and two buddies go fishing, it doesn't mean that you get to keep fishing and keeping fish until all three limits are met! Catch five on bait YOUR DONE! Wether you keep them or release them! Catch and release all you want on a spinner, but kill five YOUR DONE!! Even if your buddies can't get a bite, too bad! I came home and programmed the WDFW poaching hotline into my cell phone....I wonder how many preference points I'll earn this year??
