I've been fishing alot lately but without much luck. Finally everything changed for me today. I got out to Offut lake around 9 and rented a boat. It was a beautiful day, nice and sunny. The fish were very active rolling on the surface... tons of bugs in the water. I only fished for about 4 hours but had a great time. I only caught two, but I couldn't have been happier, at least they're biting now. The first one I caught I was trolling with a little mepps spinner. It was an 18 inch cutthroat. Then I caught a 20 inch cutthroat on a tinny castmaster. Quite the fight in both of them. Can't wait to cook em up tonight. The fishing is finally getting good!!!

Amen Jens they are very fast growing also very healthy!!! Good to hear they are being caught it sounds like the planted cutthroat are feeding they are easy to find and they school up and will rise and roll my friend and I caught 16 in an hour one time trolling wedding rings through the school.

We use the double whammies in green and red or I use just green and I put a night crawler half as straight as possible. Hook the top hook through the cut side and then run the trailer hook through down lower check the action the worm should run straight behind the lure.

Looks to me that everyone whining about no fish is posting times of noon, or later! lol.
I've never fished Offut, but plan to this season. Thanks for the reports.
Note my sign on name, and I'll see ya'all on Lake Sammamish, for the derby!
We should all pitch in our time to make the 1st Wa Lakes.com derby a HUGE success.
After all, it fits under the category of F.U.N., which we ALL need to be promoting as hard as we can.
Let our industrial based economy, that's failing everybody, including the wealthy elite, become more and more F.U.N., sustainable, eco friendly, and green. We sportsmen ARE the original "enviromentalists", and we know how to keep it F.U.N.
God bless you all and this website.
