Sorry, I fished them on Saturday and left them all with sore mouths. Per my report for the 18th, only one other boat I saw even claimed to be doing well, but he was fishing my dirty water and I never saw him with one one. Oh well. The fish were actually very willing to hit, if you had the right lure, at the right spot, at the right time. Worse, yet, fishing from shore is tough at Rock. Many people are ignoring the No Trespassing signs and going on to private property along the edges, but the LEGAL ground is very limited to fish from. I noticed that at the outlet there were a lot of fish that were sipping midge larva from the surface a half hour before sun up, so there are fish in there. I suspect that a properly presented fly might be a better way of pounding the finicky fish at the outlet. Good Luck next time.
