Got to the lake about 12:30p. My son and I put our raft in at the boat ramp. Ramp was pretty busy with 3 others putting in and 1 guy coming out. There were a couple guys fishing from the ramp that caught 2 planters as we were putting in. They were using Rooster tails. The guy coming out said he was there for about 3 hours using powerbait and didn't catch anything. My son and I decided to try troll and cast lures. We rowed the whole lake. Fish were rising constantly, but for 4 hours only saw 2 guys catch. One using flys and the other fishing off the bottom. After sitting on the far North end of the lake with out a nibble, we decided to try our luck closer to the boat ramp. We dropped anchor between the boat ramp and the park. Went to Chartreuse Power bait on a 3 ft leader. Start getting bites. Fish were hitting very light, so really had to pay attention. It's been a while since I've gone fishing. I think I've lost my touch. Missed a lot of fish. Ended up coming home with 2 10 inchers and a 9. Left the lake around 6p. But still a lot of people fishing and a lot of fish jumping. Would highly recommed giving it a try.
