I do not know what to think of the rating system. It was great day, no fish, wonderful time. Great day of fishing, bad day of catching. One bite and it was missed. Not sure it was even a bite. Long periods of no action plays tricks on my mind. Weather was super. Water was perfect. No bad winds. All good. Not many fish were taken this fine day at the Offut Lake Resort dock. Of those caught they were rather large.
It was derby weekend.
Boats were not bringing in a lot, the ones brought in were good size.
Fish were jumping all over.
Fellow fisherman of Washington Lakes.com were next to me. Great Guys ! When I left, in one of the top spots was Mike. If his brother Dave ( for some reason Dave come to mind,sorry if it isn't like I said to you sometimes wires cross) tells you the fish his brother caught was nice but mine were........................... He is not making any thing up. He had the largest trout on that I have ever seen in Offut Lake. He is modest. My guess would be 22" and fat. Hope he will tell the rest of the story. Hope to get a chance to fish with them again.
The Otter is there. He had a 8-10 incher he was showing off. Saw a eagle pull up a nice one.
Even without a fish it was a 5 for me.
Fishing was Great,the catching was a step below slow.

Careful ***** Deer are abundant and throwing caution to the wind,when crossing roads.
