Hit up rufus on fri sat and sun. The fishing was slow, and it took a lot to get some fish. We were pretty disappinted with how slow the fishing was but thats why it is fishing. I did have two friends catch their personal best, a 8.6 and a 5.8, so that was cool. Hope things turn, sounds like from chelanlaketrouts report that the lower lake was better. Hope it keeps heating up.

Thanks for the report. Any day you can catch a personal best is a great day. Did you fish by the upper pens?

Hey HH, Rufus is being a little difficult for most of us lately, but there are some being caught. great to hear about the Friends PB, that's pretty cool. Keep up the angling.

Yeah, we fished by the upper pens. I forgot to say that my dad caught like a 3 pound burbot, it was pretty cool, it put up a good fight. What are some of the theories you guys have about why the fishing has been so slow. Some say the cold water, some say the fishing pressure, and some say that the numbers of fish just aren't there anymore, What do you guys think?

I also forgot to say that the water was pretty dirty around the upper pens. It looked like it was coming from nespelem creek but I'm not sure. The water above the creek was clearer, we could barely see the bottom in like 8 feet of water. Tight lines

I fish around the lower pen area and a lot of fish have been taken out of that are. Time before last fishing RW Six out of eight fish were tagged fish that were just released the weak before.Witch tells me the fish were in a biting mood but the fishing was slower than what we expect from RW because of a lack of fish. They went to the smoker or are spread out in a fifty mile reservoir.
