I tried out Angle Lake for the first time. The pier easily had between 10 -15 anglers. Some were fishing with 2 poles. I tried using chartreuse power bait and eggs. I did not get any bites for the hour and a half that I was there. I had a 5 foot leader. Everyone else had 8 foot or longer leaders. I was surprised at how long they were. I pulled up some weeds with my five foot leader. I soon switched over to a 8 - 10 ft. leader, but still no luck. The color of the day was pink power bait or eggs. I didn't have that color. I think I saw some people keeping more than thier limit, but i coudn't prove it. There were also three boats out, but I couldnt see if they caught fish. I rated this trip tough fishing because I didnt get any bites.

I see that all the time out at Angle Lake, 2 poles and keeping over your limit. Some times you will see people put a limit in their cars and come right back and fish again, or they will fish over their limit then throw the smallest of the catch back (already dead) and keep doing that untill they have the size of fish they want. Shame on them.

I fish Angle Lake only when I'm desperate to go fishing...ITS GHETTO!!!!!! People with more then 1 pole a person; keeping more then their limit. Throwing back small fish that were badly hooked and seeing them fish later day! It is outrageous and when i go there I often remind those I see breaking the law what the law is...however I never see anything done about it. This is a place that the WDFW would CLEAN UP with money and fines if they are so low in budget!

I hope someone from the Department of Fish and Wildlife sees this and sends a game warden down to the docks. Then those tickets can help pay for the stockers.

Thanks for the report. Angle is the closest lake to my house and I wish it had an easier launch with a little more room. I don't see alot of fish caught off the dock. They stopped planting Kokanee this year which was the only reason I fished it so I won't be back. What a shame.
