Ran into Joe while I was getting ready to make a fishing run in the AM, and received some tips on the Mack and Kokanee. I didn't have the goods he mentioned, but trolled for a while without any luck. Stopped in at the local hardware store on way home, and picked up the recommended gear. When Cindy got off work we loaded up and went out for a try at the Kokanee. We were on the water almost 3 hours, Cindy boated 9 Kokes, and I only boated 5. They were running around 11-13 inches. A couple 14-15. We lost 6-8 at the boat, and had enough hits to keep it interesting. I took some "Beautiful" pics of the fish and such, but when I got home I found I had dunced it. No card in the camera. So I took a pic of some of the fillets that were ready to go into the brine. I was using a classic "Wedding Ring" with red beads and a copper blade behind Flash-Lites, tipped with a green berkley power maggot (only used 1/2 of the maggot), and two berkly Crapie Candy nuggets White. Cindy was using the same set up, except she was using green beads with a silver blade. We caught fish in water as shallow as 13 feet, and most were in about 30 feet depth. Fished right along the bottom.the fish we were into were hugging the bottom, and you could see them on the depth finder come up look at the ball, then Wham, they'd hit the WR when it came by. Lots of fun. Calm waters, mid 60s, and water temp (surface) of 53 degrees. Nice way to spend the evening.

Hey Loui, I've been looking forward to hitting Chelan for the silvers this year and now from your report I see it's time. I think we'll have some time this weekend. Thanks for the report.

Your welcome urbanangler, but ya know Magic only works when the luck is good. We enjoy chasing the lil buggers.
Hey Big D, be sure to watch your electronics, and try to fins the fish instead of just fishing an area. (Posting a new report). Don't hesitate to move around looking for them, and hit any spots that have been productive in the past.
Hi Ya HH, gonna put them in the smoker Sat evening. In the brine today. Hope to have some more to smoke next week. I just love those lil buggers whether grilled, fried, baked, or smoked. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM Good.
wenatcheefisher, I find an "Extremely SHARP" knife is very helpful, and makes the job easier (not to mention safer). Plus I've practiced on my share of fish, and after Many years it has gotten easier.
Stay safe everyone and enjoy your time out on the water
