Went to Beaver this afternoon to see if I could get the "skunk off". Been out too many times this year with nothin to show. I've been trying a couple new techniques, fliping jigs and dropshotting which I still suck at and I also wanted to give my top water frogs a little more use. Have used frogs in the past but never really commited to them. Got to Beaver around 3:00 p/m and started flipping jigs, no luck there so I switched to a couple different Rapalas and a larger top water plug, still nada. Tied on a frog and after about 15 minutes had my first one. I love using top water baits and this sucker inhaled it... it was only abou1-1/2 lbs. but it was AWESOME! I didn't take a pic cause frankly I am trying to forget how much I stunk things up this spring. I stayed till around 7:00 or so and the wind was making a little hard to keep position so I left.
