LowVW and I took our float tubes across the pass and got to Banks Lake around 5 pm on Friday. We stayed at Steamboat Rock. That first night we each landed one each. The fish have not moved to shallow beds yet. We were getting them in the 10-20' range.

Saturday was very productive, with each of us getting numerous fish. LowVW got a few 3+ and a 4 pounder, and I got these two guys weighing 3lbs 4oz and 3lbs 9oz. We caught quite a few below two pounds as well.

We fished Sunday morning/afternoon as well and got some more.

Purple senkos were the key lure here, with most of our fish, and our other friends fish coming on this color. Pumpkin did not seem to be attracting them.

Our next trip to banks is in a week and a half, and this time we're bringing the boat!

Fun weekend!

impressive! i think it rocks you guys (you and low vw) slay'em from float tubes. I'm going to be at banks the 14th -17th and think would would be cool to meet up w/ you guys. I will be camping at steamboat rock campsite #54 (white f-150 and white skeeter) with some non-fisher types so stop by if you like, I'll bring the barley soda!

Looks like we will both be in the same north loop. I will be at site #90 from the 13-17th, so I will look for you guys to pull in on the 14th. I will be in a black Dodge Dakota. Looking forward to a beer or two!

haha, I made the mistake of not wearing any waders the first night. I was just too damn excited to get out on the water! Lowvw has waders, but rarely uses them, since he sits on that hovercraft of his lol.
