Snohobassguy and myself did a quick weekend trip in the tubes to prefish for our 5 day vacation back to banks here in 8 days and counting. Got in late friday night and fished for about an hour and picked up a 2lb smallie on a jerkbait...first fish on my new crank rod...woo hoo. Saturday was the day of days..in about 6 hours picked up 16 fish over 2 lbs. My best day of bass fishing ever. Had to cut the day early on Saturday when the wind picked up to white caps and it started pouring on us at about 3pm. On Sunday the bite was a little slower and picked up 5 fish over 2 lbs in about 5 hours. Overall for 11 hours of fishing, 5 at 3lbs, 2 at 4lbs, 14 between 2 and 3lbs. Only landed 3 short fish all weekend. Pics are of a 2lb 10 oz and 2lb 11 oz, we ended up fishing different areas the rest of the day so no picks of the larger fish, enjoy my white legs...ha ha ha... Cant wait to get back in 8 days.

No, water temps were right around 45-46. A little shocking at first, but as long as i stayed moving it wasnt too bad.. With the cold water the bite was real light. No tap, just nothing...felt like fishing corkies and yarn. The fish were just picking it up and sitting w/ it. Took a while to realize that.
