5/6/2009 8:01:00 PMI just recently joined, and I havn't had much to say. However, this is an issue that is near and dear to my heart. I am a retired fishing guide, and for many years I have watched the deterioration of my beloved sport. I hope everyone out there is aware of the efforts of organizations like PETA if your are not, and you love fishing, you have an obligation to become aware (of them.) For many years now, I have made it a point to help any and all fishermen increase their success rates in all of the diverse fisheries that our state offers. We need new fishermen, the vast majority of kids in our schools DO NOT fish! PETA and other organizations like them want to eliminate all fishing, and they have made attempts to legislate fishing's elimination in New Mexico and/or Arizona already. They have been considered a "fringe group," with little capacity to impact our sport. Unfortunately, Michael Vick's activities have recently given them a platform, and they have clearly gained much credibility and we all need to pay attention to them. If you can help new people, kids and adults, to successfully enter into fishing by all means do it! The last few years I ran my charter boat the biggest problem I had was limited information, (there were simply too few fisherman to find fish off our states coastline). Jigmiester keep up the good reports, and great fishing to everybody out there. Willial13
