I was on the water at 9:40 am with maybe 6 other boats. I trolled flies, Dick Nite spoons, Mack’s Flash Lite w/Wedding Ring tipped with power bait, and I bait fished where lots of fish were marked on the finder. Not 1 bite! While trolling back to the launch a few hours later, I tried a fly again (floating line w/sink tip which killed em last year here) and I hooked 1 nice fish that spit the hook at the boat. NOTE: The water was very muddy looking. Water temp was 57 degrees F. It was breezy and windy at times which was no fun but expected as a storm was said to be coming in later in the evening. Fishing for me has been very poor so far since the opener. I am hoping it will pick up soon. I believe barometric pressure may have something to do with it as well.
