Fished Bonaparte over the weekend and had pretty good success, my dad and I ended up catching 5 different kinds of trout (rainbow, brook, brown, tiger, and silver) between us over 4 days. A very diverse fish population, caught a decent smallmouth as well. The weather was very variable: from 65 and sunny to 45 and hailing. Trolled along the shore and weed beds on the state park side of the lake and got a fish about every half hour on average. Saw others still fishing from boats and they looked like they did ok too. The highlight of the weekend for me had to be catching a 15" silver on our first night there. Biggest one me and my dad had ever seen! Overall a great weekend and also got my younger cousins on some fish, one of them a 14" silver but fatter than mine. Didn't know they could get that big in here.
