Stockers were it for the day.

I got out for an hour to test the new little one man livingston setup I have built up. Dock had a few anglers on it, lake had no one else out. Guess no one was fool enough to brave the 20-30mph winds.

Caught 7 stockers all between 7-9" Using a Chartruese and Orange wedding ring with pink power eggs. 3 put up such a fight that I thought I had a bigger fish on. Was hoping for a triploid, but didn't happen. Oh well there is always tomorrow

Got a couple reminders of lessons to learn.

A: if you can use a gas motor, and have one, take it with you. (I didn't) and even with the 55lb thrust Minn WOT I had a heck of a time getting back up the lake going against the wind.

B: No matter how sunny take a long sleeve with you.

Overall I had a good time. Fishing was kinda secondary, as this was the first water test of the new boat set up. It did great! I had one mega gust that came through that got under and between the hulls and actually picked the boat up, coming against the wind.(Kinda Scary)

Overall I am set. Boat loads and unloads with absolute ease. 65#'s with the minncota on and problly 45 -50lbs without. very easily managed, BUT it is definetly a one man boat, and even then It's crowded.

With Motor, Battery, tackle box, oars, it's a tight fit, and unlike my larger 8.5ft Livingston, the battery's position is much more critical and effects the way the boat floats substantially in the 7ft'r
