After a friend recommended Badger - I thought I would give it a try. It was a beautiful morning with just a bit of a breeze and plenty of sunshine - we hit the water by about 7:30. The water was clear and about 55 degrees. There were a fair number of boats and folks fishing from the shore. We headed for the cliffs across from the public launch and had a few hits within 10 minutes. The bites were light and no fish in the boat so far (we were just baptizing worms at this point). My friend likes to use a small silver cowbell flasher with a threaded worm and I was using a double whammy behind a silver willow leaf flasher. We were trolling about 1.1 to 1.3 MPH and about 15 to 30 FT down. We marked a lot of fish at several depths. We caught our first one heading toward the power lines - things picked up from there with very few dead spots the rest of the day. Most of the fish caught today were cuts (surprise to me) - nothing real big (10-14") but good fighters and nice and firm. All in all, a very nice day on a beautiful lake.
