Me and my buddy Matt got up to the lake around 10:00am and fished from his grandpa's dock untill about 1:00pm. We started with size 8 eagle claw egg holding hooks. Which worked well but as soon as we'd get the fish to the dock they'd shake the hook and swim away so we went to a smaller hook and that fixed that problem. We had the hook on about 2 ft of leader and then a swivel and then a slip weight. That way the bait would be off the bottom but not floating on top of the water. All the fish we got were about 8in long. Good luck! There's still lots of fish in there!
