We started fishing about 9:30am and started trolling along the southwest side of the lake. We had numerous hits, but only got 1 small (8") trout. We were marking fish on the depthfinder, but they weren't biting. We still fished using various colors of powerbait, but they still weren't hungry. Decided to go over to the east side of the lake and try still fishing over near the inlet, since we'd had luck there last year. Again, we marked lots of fish, but they weren't biting on anything we offered. By this time, it was around 1:30 or so and we still only had the one fish. We decided to go back to trolling and we both had flatfish with worms trailing behind and started getting hits! We kept circling around the area near the inlet. All in all, we took home 5 trout, the biggest being about 10". A nice day fishing sure beats going to work!
