Absolutely beautiful weather. Trolled large parts of south part of the lake, but really had a hard time marking fish, and was not sure which depth to target the few I did mark.

I finally ended up closer to the Cedar River outlet, and marked a few more fish here. My only take down came here, and I landed a smaller bow.

It was however the only take down of the entire day. Still need to work on my technique and locate fish and find out which depth to target cutts and bows. Any helpful pointers?

I was out Saturday as well and marked a lot of fish between 10' and 20' with no takers. I think the fish need to get used to the increase in boat traffic over the next couple of weeks before the fishing will pick up. Until then I'll fish deep, 45' or deeper, and if I hook a few chinook so be it, they put up a great fight on light tackle.

OK. I might try that.
