We hit the water right around noon. We headed west as soon as we left the resort boat launch. The hooks hit the water not even 200 yards from the boat launch below the first rock ledge we came to. On one of the first casts I caught a 10 inch trout. We fished all along the west finger of the lake and caught many trout and a few smaller sized LM bass. None of the fish were of great size but they kept you busy. We also fished a spot about a ¼ of a mile north of the resort close to the bank on the left side. We also caught a few small trout there as well. Now please take my word for something! I have seen personally some very, very good sized fish pulled out of Chapman. So don’t be depressed if you have a fishing trip planned there and you are reading this. It just wasn’t our day.

What's the name of the resort on Chapman? And, do you think there'd be a place where one could bank fish at the resort?

Everything MeanMouth said is true. You can tell he has been on the lake awhile because everything he wrote has been told to about Chapman! Sorry Landlocked, like MeanMouth said it really doest't have a name. I also agree about rooster tails and power baits, but I have also had luck with smaller spiner baits(for LM bass) on this lake.
