Went to Newman Friday and Monday. Got on the lake Friday at about 10:00 am. Left about 1:00pm. Landed about 6 up to 2lbs or so. When we got back to the launch KREM 2 and Sheriff boat were there. Barney was checking peoples boats out and writing in his little black book. It's a good idea to always have your life saving equipment in good order and boat in good repair. Not to mention a fishing license. If your gonna drink try to save it til ya get home, a lady lost her arm on the lake last year due to a bunch of drunks in the boat. I must admit I take 2 beers cause it just is kinda a tradition to have a beer while fishing. Monday we got on the lake at 6:00 am. The bite started at about 10:00. Soft plastics in the pads seemed to work best. I did hook into a 4.25 lb. (the one in the pic). All were released, we caught 5 total Monday. The public launch starts to get a bit crazy after noon FYI.

I fished Newman on Friday as well. I took the kid and we got there at 10pm. I must have sen you there. We fished till 5pm and boated 8 fish, the biggest being 2lbs. I lost a good one under a dock and didn't get to see him. He thought he was pretty tough for a while, then he took me around a chain at the end of the dock. Fish 1 AJ's Dad 0. I'll be back there tomorrow to see if they bite well in the evening.

Dad, what was the crowd in the evening? I fish the South and North side mostly, hook.
