Met BassDood out at Long Lake. Was a bit breezy but BassDoody said "oh this is nothing." Well my legs this morning beg to differ ... lol. Fished using the swim senko and a flapping shad. Had a hit pretty close to right away with the flapping shad. Then about 3.5 hours later had my next hit. The second one will haunt me. Though I didn’t see the fish it was the biggest hit I have ever felt. It was like my lure hooked into a brick wall. I have snagged a log or a dock before and this was not that. I thought about that fish on my way home, while I tried to fall asleep, while I slept and when I woke up. That fish has me wanting to get back out there more than when I caught my PB or when I caught two 3 pounders on back to back casts. Yes ... my name is Jay and I am a Bassahaolic. Not sure if the rapid change of weather had anything to do with anything but the bite was not really one. I did get to work some swim bait type of lures and am excited about that prospect.
