I haven't hit RW in ages, so I headed on over to the north end and gave it a couple hours. 90 degrees and sunny made the fishing a bit tough. Water was the highest I've seen and really ripping. Cold enough to make you grit your teeth wading. I gave it about 1 hr before my first fish on. Felt heavy, but no fight? I've been catching wet socks (walleye) on Banks all week, so when it came into view I thought it was about a 5-6 lb walleye. Darn, a big ol squaw fish!

Had to catch at least one trip, so back out in the water. 5 mins and a big hit. Fight was on, now this was a trout. Ripping out the drag and launching from the water. After about 5 mins I had it in close and was surprised to see how small it was. 18 inches, not small by any means, but small for Rufus. It had perfect fins and tail, so maybe a native? I've caught a few "natives" in Rufus and always impressed how well they fight. I gave it another 20 mins and the sun and heat did me in.
