The fishing saturday and sunday was decent. Saturday night was pretty good. We caught about 20 crappie in the canal between the northern and southern sections of the lake at sunset. My uncle Bob caught a 14 inch perch near the south boat launch saturday afternoon. The crappie and perch were caught in 6 to 10 feet of water. The water temp was 65 degrees. Some of the crappie were full of eggs and they were pretty aggressive in some areas. They were pretty spread out. We also got a few good sized rainbows.

I live on the canal that goes between duck and the grand canal fish brush piles in the south portion of the lake during the heat of the day for large crappie and bluegill the crappie are spread through out the lake the center lake is the best durign the heat of the day the southern portion durint he evening chartrues and black jigs tipped with a night crawler for the crappie. for the bass get the largest yellow and black dotted or chartruse and dotted roostertails burn them across the surface around downed tress grass and brush dont be afraid to loose afew cast tot eh bank from about 80 ft out. tip on the roostertails bend the blade in from the middle more water displacement. use a slip float and let 6 to 10 feet of line below it and a jig head with a crawler half or full for big largemouth and the trout and finally the grand canal from the spill way about 100 yards past the canal that connects duck to the grand canal cast and drag large to midsized swim baits the ones you use for strippers and lingcod for 5 to 7 pound bucket mouths. been fishin the lake for over 15 years and know it like the back of my hand
