I decided it was time to find out what's in mason lake so I headed out a little later than I was hoping for and got out on the lake at 9am. Headed down by the simpson campground at the end and started throwing a blue power lizard. Got alot of hits but only caught 1 rock bass, he was nice though about 8 inches. After that I went every where and tried everything all day. Trolled the northwest side with a wedding ring to see if there were any takers, got a 3lb pikeminnow, thats one ugly ass fish!! Threw him back and the rock bass and left at about 7pm. Saw lots of fish on the finder down at the bottom 50 to 80 feet. Hope the lake heats up soon I think there might be some big Hawgs in there, lots of cover for them. If you know where to go for the bass or perch drop me a line.
