We had our 5 yr old niece come to visit us from hawaii so we decided to take her fishing. She love to fish and had never been fishing on a lake before so she was really excited. it was a very nice day with the sun out and worm weather. The only thing that couldve been better was if the wind would die down a little. We started trolling and right off the bat her pole goes off and fish on!!! it gave a great fight but being the expert angler she is, she had no problem bringing it in. her first rainbow trout and it was a 14 incher. We trolled around for about 2 hours and she kicked our butts.. She caught 2 nice trout, my wife caught a really nice perch, and i got skunked.... Oh well, not much fish caught in that little time out but it was a great day and lots of great memories. My niece couldnt stop reminding me and everyone else that she caught 2 fish and i caught none.. lol. It was a great time had by all and hope they can make it back up here soon!!!
