ok so some buddys and i went out to newman for some night catfishing i havent been there in a couple years so i though that it would be fun well everything was going good hooked a couple nice fish and then disaster i had my pole proped up against a very large rock there at the public fishing shore and out of the corner of my eye i see my pole move not a move from a bite but a move being flying airborn for at least10 to 15 feet before it hit water i striped down and was in newman lake at midnight with a flashlight looking for my pole NO LUCK the only thing i figure that had that much power behind it was a muskie so if anybody finds a black pole with a red and gold quantim reel please let me know i have had the reel for years and it sucks that its gone and i didnt event get to feel the fish fight at all lol thanx

What in the world were you fishing with? Muskie seldom take normal bait, so unless it was one of the big Carp, ???????????????

i was using a no.2 hook with about 3 big nightcrawlers 1oz of weight set up on a slipline about 30 yards out from shore about 40 feet north of the public launchthis all happened about 11:30 at night i have never never seen a carp do that to anybody pole and take off like it did so thats why i lean towards it being a muskie my buddy has caught a few pike over at hayden using the same thing at night i guess they must get lazy at night and if they happen to see somthing that looks like food they swoop it up but once again if sombody snags my pole please let me know thanx bigboy
