Went out with the fellas yesterday on Tapps. We got out there at 4:30 which is earlier then normal because I thought we might be able to catch the bigger ones earlier. The size did not change most averaged around a pound. Did catch about a eight pound musky with a drop shot. Is anybody catching anything of size out there? I use everything from drop shot to plugs but drop shot is definitely my favorite method. Any info would help our biggest of this year has only been 2.4 pounds.

Spawn is over or just about over. I always use out there a rattling suspended jointed Shad Rap perch pattern crank. The medium sized one 2" 1/4 oz.. That will spook up the females out in 15 foot of water. Don't fish the edge so much but go out just a little deeper off the drops in muddy waters. If you do fish the edges I look for rock bottoms with sudden drops and crank straight in and pull slow ever so often with the rod tip almost in the water. She'll hit it!
