Hit the lake this morning for a few hours. Consistantly caught guys in the 1/2 pound range. There are hundreds of bass swimming in the heavy cover right now. Water was 70*. I was casting senkos in about 20 feet of water. This lake has a one to one ratio for water depth. Meaning if you are 30 feet from shore, you're roughly in 30 feet of water. I also dropped a fly, I couldn't tell you the pattern, into 15 feet of water. It would get about 6" from the logs and then 3 or 4 fish would rush it. I would twitch it until one of them took it, then set the hook. Live worms on a drop shot would kill on this lake. The only downside is if you have never fished heavy cover before, this lake will eat your gear. There is so much lumber in the lake. there are only 3 houses on the lake, the rest is trees right down to the water line. Saw a few people powerbaiting for trout doing well also. Watched a guy pull up a 16" trout with nothing but a worm and a hook.
